Determine if you have COVID-19 through testing

Why is it important to test for COVID-19?3

If you are experiencing upper respiratory symptoms such as cough, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, difficulty breathing, or have had a close contact with someone who has symptoms, then you should carry out self-testing.

This is to ensure you don’t pass it on to your loved ones, especially those who are at high risk for severe COVID-19 such as the elderly and people who are immunocompromised.3
